Loquat

This species is a great two for one deal, and can be used as an excellent evergreen patio tree, as well as a fine fruit-producing tree. Of course, if you're not a enthusiastic Loquat eater, the fruit might be litter to you, so it might be better planted away from the concrete. Fast growing to 15 feet tall or more, this species is also available in a similar but not identical fruitless form called Eriobotyra deflexa.
