Dahlia
Although most frequently grown as an annual, Dahlias are actually perennials grown from tuberous roots. Numerous flower types exist in all colors but true blue, and the plants grow from 15" to over 6' high. The long-lasting blooms face outward and upward. Dahlias like full sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Tubers may be dug in winter to increase the number of plants.
