Many
Dendrobium orchids are of the Phalaenopsis Type, their flowers closely
resembling those of the Phalaenopsis variety. Phalaenopsis Type Dendrobiums
are evergreen, while other varieties will shed their leaves in the fall and
winter.
Dendrobiums are commonly used as cut flowers because of their sturdy stems and
distinctive coloring.
