The
compound leaf of the Sentry Palm is 6 1/2 - 10 feet long. Raised in pots with
multiple stems, this variety is a decorative house and container plant excellent
for conservatories, and other open areas out of direct sunlight.
Water regularly with soft water, letting the soil dry in between; administer
light, nonalkaline plant food every week. Repot only when roots completely fill
the container; use deep tubs and peat-rich soil.
