Also know as Maranta, this is a bushy rain forest plant with tuberous roots and large, oval, vividly colored on upright petioles. Because of the plants slightly creeping habit, it does well in larger bowls or containers.
Light or partial shade all year; no strong sun. Warm and humid, shelter from drafts. Avoid chilling the root ball; use soft water at room temperature. To maintain humidity, we recommend setting your pot over a dish of water.
