This
is an epiphytically
growing fern with strong rhizomes
,
covered with shieldlike brown scales. The fine, compund leaves are triangular.
Excellent for closed fern cases or window greenhouses. Because of its need for
humid air, Squirrel's Foot is very hard to keep in living areas. If you're up
to the challenge, it makes for a fine hanging plant as well.
In summer, give full sun and warmth. Water and feed rarely, keeping the plant
almost dry.
