Desert Spoon

Offering excellent heat tolerance and thriving even with a total lack of water once established, this hearty plant, named for the spoon-shaped base of its leaves, blooms with very small, bell-shaped white flowers on long, 9’ to 15’ tall spikes in June, followed by fruits that mature in August. It’s trunk slowly grows to 4’ tall and 5’in diameter.
