and Amendments
Anybody
who's ever stuck a shovel in the native soil here knows it needs help. Adding
amendments such as Compost and Humus to garden beds is one of the most effective
gardening projects. Well mixed-in amendments add structure, water absorbing
capacity, fertilizer distribution capacity, coolness and heat at the right seasons,
and generally make soil a more hospitible place for roots and all those beneficial
soil organisms.
